DAY 1

Poroy - Machu Picchu - Mandor Waterfalls

We pick you up at your hotel at 5:00am and take you to Poroy train station in order to start your train ride to Aguas Caliente town. On the way you will enjoy amazing views on the snowcapped mountain of Mount Veronica (5800m/18966ft) and you will appreciate interesting Incan sites and lush vegetation on both sides of the rails. The train usually takes five hours. Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes train station our tour guide will be waiting for you with a Machulas sign. From the trains station you will be taken to Mandor Pampa, there you will appreciate the beautiful waterfall and different varieties of orchids. On the way you will also see the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu mountain. Once you have explored the area you will return to Aguas Calientes, where the guide takes you to your hotel. After a delicious dinner your tour guide will give you briefing for the next day.

DAY 2

Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Your today’s destination is Machu Picchu. After an early breakfast at your hotel, your tour guide pick you up and you will go to the bus station to take the bus (25 minutes) to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. At the main entrance you will show your original passport and your entrance ticket. Then your tour guide will take you to the famous lookout where you can take the classic post card pictures. After that, the guide will do a walking tour through the complex, visiting the most important places, such as temples, palaces, plazas, gates, etc… After the 2:30 hours tour you will have free time to explore the citadel by yourself. If you want to visit either Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountains, you need an extra entrance tickets. At around 3:00pm you will return to Aguas Calientes town, to have your lunch and then to pick your luggage from the hotel. Then you will go to the train station to board the train to Ollantaytambo, and from there carry on by bus back to Cusco where we will conclude our journey.
